17.04.2015On March 13-14, 2015 Gethsemane church, Lviv received a two-day regional conference for church leaders of the “Church of God” Union, headed by Bishop Vitaliy Voznyuk, head pastor of Emmanuel church, Kyiv. Worship bands from a number of churches came to lead the attendees in praising God. Pastors coming from different cities of Ukraine spoke the Word of God along with Bishop Vitaliy to the church leaders on what God was showing them about growing churches, their leaders and overall the church of Christ in Ukraine.
On the first day of the conference, the worship band of “The Ark” church, Lviv, led the congregation in praise and worship of God. Pastor Anatoliy Kuzmych of Good News Church, Truskavets, led the leaders and ministers in prayer for God’s blessing and leading for the conference. Bishop Vitaliy Voznyuk, Emmanuel church, Kyiv, preached on God’s leadership standards, ways of bettering one’s ministry and one’s personal qualities as a leader.
March, 14 saw the second day of the conference. The united worship band of both Gethsemane churches of Lviv and Chervonohrad took the turn to lead the praise and worship time. Pastor Anatoliy Kuzmych greeted everyone with the start of the second day of the conference.
The conference brought together more than 200 people, who came to hear God’s word through the bishop’s and pastor’s instructions and learn how to put them into practice. Pastor Zenoviy Vasylyk, Good Samaritan Church, Lviv, spoke a message on money management that trusting God in issues of money is never to be regretted. Bishop Vitaliy Voznyuk preached on the power of the blood of Christ, shed for every man. This blood cleanses the man and sets them free. A great price was paid for every human being.
Sister Stanislava Otyuska was ordained a pastor for a church in Noviy Rozdil while the youth from her church helped the audience feel the power of the Holy Spirit in a powerful worship time. Pastor Stanislava Otyuska told her testimony about her coming to God, the trials she had to go through and strengthening God provided her with.”I was born into a broken family. I saw no hope, I wanted to take my life. Looking back, though, I see how much God has done for me…” she said.
Pastor Ivan Poteryakhin from Donetsk encouraged never to stop on your way to reaching a God’s purpose. “Even when do not see it in full shape, do not change your direction. Keep going to the end”, he said. At the end of the conference, pastors came forward to pray and bless for who everyone wishing to have their needs prayed over. It was a strong ending to the powerful conference.
