Gethsemane Church has restarted prayer services of thanksgiving and intercession on a month’s last Friday. God put it together in such a way that on that very day we had guests coming over—a team of 29 kids from the most famous children’s rehab center in Ukraine—’’The Pilgrim Republic” based in Mariupol, Eastern Ukraine, very close to the war zone.

Deacons Vyacheslav Vorovchenko and Pavlo Vasikov shared short messages on what prayer is about and led the meeting in prayer for the church and the country. The formerly homeless children gave testimonies of thanks for how God had helped and rescued them from their dire life. Pastor Valeriy Marchenko encouraged everyone to hold on fast to the Lord. We had a great time praising God, and every child received a gift—a set of books to come to know more about God and His word!
