27.11.2011The head pastor of “Gethsemane” church spoke at the youth service at the “Gospel House” Chruch in Lviv
29.11.2011Bohdan and Iryna Bratash came to church with their newborn daughter Natalya, to ask for a blessing for her life through prayers of pastors and the Church. “Let’s worship the Lord together” – with this worship song the Sunday Service started at Gethsemane church. The Church raised their hands with joy to bless the Lord Jesus Christ.
The head pastor of the “Gethsemane” church, Valeriy Pavlovych Marchenko, started with the Psalm of David: “Bless, oh my soul, the Lord” (Ps. 102/103) – this is the inner condition of a human being – the fear of God… When I love the Lord and have this fear – I cannot sin in His sight, even when I fall – if I repent, the Lord says He “has compassion as a father on his children”.
“Children are from God. Often parents think it is their merit in this, but the whole is created by God, we are His creation, our cchildren as well”. “Today we have a special event at our church – a prayer for a newborn child; the Bible calls this Bringing a Child to the Temple, when parents want to dedicate their chils to the Lord”. The head pastor Valeriy Pavlovych Marchenko and the ritual pastor Dmytro Fedorovych Semchenko anointed with oil the newborn Natalya Bratash.
The head pastor held the child up in prayer to the Lord: “Lord, we dedicate You this child and give her under Your protection. May Your Holy Spirit come down and give her Your peace, protection and health. And bless the parents to care for her as Your precious gift”.
A prayer for young parents – Bohdan and Iryna Bratash – “Oh, Lord. Bless Bohdan and Iryna with Your wisdom to upbring their daughter Natalya as Your child”. After the prayer pastor Valeriy Pavlovych presented the Bratash family with a “Certificate of Blessing for a baby”. Iryna and Bohdan shared their joy with the church and thanked God for this special gift from God – their precious daughter Natalya. A picture for memory about this special event in the lives of Natalya Bratash and her parents.
