About 60 church members committed themselves to the Lord’s service for 2017

25.03.2017On March 19th, Gethsemane church went about 80 km north of Lviv to the town of Chervonohrad to do a Candlemas outreach for children and their parents. About 200 children who came with their parents received “Samaritan Purse” boxes; heard the Gospel preached and were invited to pray the repentance prayer. Gethsemane worship group praising God at the beginning of the event. Parents, grandparents and legal guardians with their children altogether had a chance to hear the Word of God communicated through songs, videos, a sketch, a quiz and an evangelistic message.
Deacon Slavic Vorovchenko coordinated the outreach and invited the special guests to a greeting word in support of the event. Deputy mayor of Chervonohrad Natalya Turko encouraged everyone to study the word of God. Pastor Mykola Haiduchyk of the local Grace Church and minister Yuriy Ivanov of the Pentecostal Union greeted the people and spoke short messages of God’s love for us all and the importance of reading the Word of God.
The main organizer of the event, senior pastor of Gethsemane church Valeriy Marchenko encouraged the audience to take practical steps to come to know God—to be active in prayer and reading the Gospels so that all see for themselves the goodness of our God.

Deacon Slavic Vorovchenko preached a Gospel message using a shabby covering to show how God sees through us what we are on the inside and how badly we need Jesus to take our sins away and clothe us in His righteousness. Afterwards, he called all the people to rise tot heir feet and led in prayer of repentance.
And then all the invited children received a gift box and a New Testament. Surely, it was the most awaited moment for them!
