On June 26th, the International Youth day God blessed Gethsemane Church outreach team to carry out two events spreading the word of the Gospel in Chervonohrad. The first one took place at a sanitary resort for children. About 500 children and their mentors gathered in the main hall of the resort to see the evangelistic program. The clowns did skits, played games and had fun with the children, teaching them Christian songs about the love of God and hope in Christ. The adult music group from Gethsemane presented new active songs that everybody greatly enjoyed.

Sharing the Good News at a Youth rock concert in Chervonohrad

The local administration organized a Youth band rock concert on the central town square. It was agreed that our music band would also perform Christian songs at the event. Gethsemane youth band proclaiming Jesus’s name on the central square of Chervonohrad. Youth band is great tool for public evangelism. We thank God for the great talents He gives Gethsemane.

Gethsemane youth band was the only evangelistic group at the concert and proclaimed the Gospel through songs and appeals to the masses of people who gathered on the central square. Children’s ministry clowns reached out to children, spoke with them about God and presented balloon toys. Pastor Dmytro and deacon Slavic set up a tent for handing out anti-smoking booklets and exchanging cigarette packs for Christian literature for free. With the Gospels they also handed out invitations to church meetings.

After the event the team consisting of Gethsemane Lviv and Chervonhrad church members gathered together with Head Pastor Valeriy Marchenko and right there on the central square we created a prayer circle and thanked God for letting us take advantage of the holiday to preach His word.
