Gethsemane Church organized a family outreach “Father, Mother and Me—Ukrainian Christian Family.” The event took place in a park in the city center. Gethsemane invited Greek Catholic, Orthodox, Roman– Catholic and Evangelical churches to propagate Christian family values together. A lot of people witnessed the event and 1,500 leaflets with God’s view of family with church contacts were handed out for families who need help in overcoming their relational problems.

Special speakers (left to right) : Andriy Rozhnyatovskiy, Family and Youth Regional Dept, Yuriy Tybinka, Social work District Dept, Deacon Yuriy Tkatch, Roman Catholic Church, Pastor Valeriy Marchenko, Gethsemane. 9 families from 8 churches of 4 different denominations took part in the event. The idea was to do a series of relays and championships with teams made of father, mother and child, each relay illustrating a certain Christian family value.

Gethsemane Children’s club clowns sang Christian songs with moves and played with many children who collected to the event. The Fun Soccer – players with kids on their backs, goalies -with wives on their backs family unity relay
