December 25th, Gethsemane Church held a Christmas caroling concert “The Birth of the New Ukraine”. Pastor Valeriy Marchenko greeted everyone with Christ’s birth and shared a message on its importance to every person.

A youth group from St. George Greek Catholic Cathedral sang famous Ukrainian Christmas carols. A youth group from “The Blessing” Greek Catholic community of St. Olga and Volodymyr Church presented a sketch on how sin destroys man, and that it is only God who is able to save us.

A youth group from Gethsemane Church of Chervonograd (a daughter church in the north of Lviv region) worshipped God by singing of Jesus’ glorious coming into this world. Children from the “Future Fathers of Ukraine” Club, operating at Gethsemane Church, did a nativity performance with a recital of Christmas verses.

The 4 sisters of the Plakhtyna family, who attend our church, performed the song “Good News” of a well-known Ukrainian religious band. The concert was finished off with an electrifying performance of Christmas carols by a famous caroling band “The Stargazers”.
