The Holiday Event in Chervonohrad for Children of Anti-Terrorist Operation Combatants. It is the 5th year that Gethsemane Church has been carrying out the children’s holiday event “Present Candlemas to a Child!” This year, the children of anti-terrorist operation combatants and multi-child families were invited to join. There were 54 children at the event and every child received a present.

The speaker of the event, deacon of Gethsemane Church Pavlo Vaskov, narrated about the Candlemas, its meaning and what the Gospel tells us about bringing the newborn Saviour to the Temple.

A father of one of the families said the words of gratitude: “We are a family of refugees from the Crimea. I fought in the anti-terrorist operation. I also know this gift box tradition. This initiative should be kept active.
