At the last service of 2016, Gethsemane church held a special once-per-year commitment service usually conducted on the last Sunday of the year. About 60 church members from Gethsemane Lviv and Chervonohrad were willing to sign a special commitment paper, symbolically of green color, certifying that the signee commits to serve God in a certain ministry within the church for all the next year.

After the worship group began the service with joyful praises to God, senior pastor Valeriy Marchenko spoke a message stressing the importance of commitment to God, since God has always been fully committed to us.

Then, the members were called up front and handed the commitment paper at the applause of the whole church. People of different ages and backgrounds were willing to commit themselves to the Lord’s service.

Afterwards, we had two prayers of blessing. Firstly, the deacons and ministry leaders were prayed for and blessed for ministry buy the church. Then, pastor Valeriy blessed the committed church members. Pastor Valeriy and the big team of the Gethsemane church servants.
