20.05.2017On April 23rd, Gethsemane Church celebrated its 23 years in ministry to the Lord. We invited special guests to share our joy and praise the Lord with us on this holiday. The invited Christian worship “Shekhina” (Glory of God from Hebrew) led by Ruslana Bukovynska led the inspired worship time together with our Gethsemane worship group.
Pastor Valeriy Marchenko spoke a greeting word to the church thanking God and the people for all the years of ministering together. Guests who had known the church for years spoke their words of greeting.
Afterwards, Pastor Valeriy and Deacon Slavic Vorovchenko invited onto the stage the church members who were given special church certificates of gratitude and gifts for their faithful partaking in various areas of the church work. Not just individual members, but also a whole family, the Plakhtynas, all serving the Lord were given a certificate of gratitude for their part in many different ministries in the church. People of all ages, both young and senior were marked for their faithfulness in spreading the Word of God.
Bishop Anatoliy Kuzmich came from Truskavets with his wife to greet the church and wish God’s blessings on its years to come.
Church home groups took turns to greet the church and pastor with the anniversary and present their gifts— cakes, songs, verses and special construction offerings.
Gethsemane Church from a town of Chervonohrad, 90 km north of Lviv, came all the way down to bless the mother church and perform a worship song together. The Plakhtynas family, the 5 sisters, greeted the church with a new worship song as well.
Brother Christer Borg a Swedish missionary and faith healing minister prayed for people’s healing and recovery from pains and diseases. As brother Christer prayed for sister Lena Pantserno’s legs to measure up, one of the legs seemed to have extended. Sister Lena testified to that she started feeling and began to be able to walk much better. Thank you, Jesus!
