The blessing of a child In the Gethsemane Church

Victor and Olena Markheva came to church with their newborn daughter Darina, to ask for a blessing for her life through prayers of pastors and the Church. Senior Pastor of the Gethsemane Church Valery Marchenko read the words of Jesus Christ with the Bible – “…Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”(Lk.18:16)

Pastor Valery took a child in arms and in prayer blessed his. The Senior pastor Valeriy Marchenko and the ritual pastor Dmytro Semchenko anointed with oil the newborn Darina Markheva. A prayer for young parents – “Oh, Lord. Bless Victor and Olena with Your wisdom to upbring their daughter Darina as Your child”.

After the prayer pastor Valeriy presented the Markheva family with a “Certificate of Blessing for a baby”. A picture for memory about this special event in the lives of Darina Markheva.
