Easter at Gethsemane Lviv 2015

10.05.2015On April 18 Gethsemane church , Lviv, welcomed the first youth conference of the Western region. The combined youth worship group from Gethsemanes of Lviv and Chervonohrad praised the Resurrected Christ with Easter songs.
Gethsemane’s Senior Pastor Valeriy Marchenko spoke a greeting to the youth and shared a message on God’s faithfulness, “that a girlfriend or a boyfriend may frustrate, but never God Such was the start of the first regional youth meeting.
Deacon of children’s and teeangers’ ministry Pavlo Vasikov in company with the friends from the children’s club presented a dance to a song in Polish about Christ the Deliverer of the World.
David Kuzmych, the youth leader from the Good News Church of the town of Stebnyk, shared a message on that “everything has its time” and performed a worship song together with his team.
The youth leader from the Good News Church of Drohobych, Oleg Vysochanskyi, shared a message on that “every person is special in God’s eyes” and his team did a sketch on “what people think about themselves and that it contrasts with what God thinks of them.”
Vadim Prokhorov, the youth leader from the “God’s Cover” church of Lviv, told about how his team and he spread the word of God through sports, rugby,in particular, and that sports are very important to the youth of today. The youth from the church likewise presented a dancing performance and led in worship with a few songs. Members of a Christian rap band C.H.O.I.R. presented an Easter rap musical and performed their songs.
Pastor Anatoliy Kuzmych in his sermon touched on the relationship between God and youth, their level of faithfulness and their need of more opportunities to serve God. The youth, in their turn, with a new potential and ideas could develop God’s ministry with fresh drive.
The 2nd part of the conference was kicked off by the youth from “Life” Church, Novyi Rozdil. The youth leader of Gethsemane Church, Katya Pantserno, told her testimony on how God has been acting in her life in the area of her student studies. Her aide, Sergey Matusovskyi, shared how youth homegroups could serve the youth of the city.
Yaroslav Voronyak, the youth leader from the Good News Church of Truskavets, spoke a message from the Word, and his team showed a dancing performance.
Igor Herasymiv, the youth leader from the “Light to the Word” church of Ternopyl, told why youth should consider It Important to read the Word of God, and what it could bring into their lives in the areas of work, studies and personal life. The youth from Ternopyl showed a sketch on the importance of a relationship with the Lord.
Brother Yaroslav Korin from the Transcarpathian region’s “New life” church spoke a word of greeting. Their worship leader Carolina Skvortsova shared her testimony of how she had passed out in the bathtub and all but drowned. God spoke to her father and he rushed to break into the bathroom and was able to save her life. Praise God!
The youth pastor of the “”New Life” Church of Chernivtsi, Grigoriy Skrypa, shared how he had saved the life of a person with epilepsy. He remarked that we, as Christians, should help others by good deeds, whoever the person is.
The conference finished with a sermon by Pastor Igor Kosovan, who spoke that we should not forget that we are his beloved children, and that He values us in a special way.
