06.01.2016The New Police Visits Gethsemane’s Children’s Club
16.01.2016On the 27th of December Gethsemane Church organized an outreach for healthy life-style to support the Smoking Cessation Day and AIDS Day. On the day before, Gethsemane church youth prepared about 600 sets with handouts. The set included the Luke Gospel; a flyer from charitable organization ACET with information about harmful habits and the related sicknesses, the main law regulations about smoking and alcohol drinking; a flyer The Apostle’s Way, a brochure with prayers. These all are meant to bring people to God. Having installed a tent, the brothers and sisters from the church, aged from 5 to 78, distributed all 600 sets, and also 100 Christian magazines Hope, They also communicated with people about Jesus Christ and the Word of God.
As it turned out, some passers-by did not have a New Testament and the outreach was a good opportunity to get it. One man was offered to change his almost full pack of cigarettes for the New Testament, and he immediately agreed!
God used everyone who came to serve, irrespective of the age, to deliver the most important news the Gospel, which has a power to save, heal from any sickness, give new life to people laving with AIDS, and set free from the harmful habits.
The senior pastor of Gethsemane Church Valeriy Marchenko (at the right) and all the servants thanked God for His blessings and prayed for salvation of those people who received the Word of God.
